Joshua

When Joshua was still a baby until the age of 4, nakakatuwa ang mga naririnig naming compliments mula sa mga nakakakita sa kanya. Halimbawa na lang:

Wow! Ang cute nung bata . (Kanino kaya nagmana hehe)
Ang taba! Kakagigil, sarap pisilin ng pisngi.
Sana ganun din ang anak ko.
Ano kaya kinakain nya? (syempre tulad din nang kinakain nyo no!)
Pwedeng pakurot? (hinde! Sa tatay pwede. Hehehe)

But when he started schooling (pre-school), dun na nagsimula ang problema. He came home one day at ganito ang naging takbo ng aming pag-uusap

Joshua: Mama, what is a "baboy"?

Me: A boy?

Joshua: NO! not a boy, B-A-B-O-Y!

Me: ahhh, why?

Joshua: Because one of my classmates said I am baboy.

KD: Joshua come here. I will tell you something. Tell your classmate that you are not a baboy, because you are still a piglet. (sarap batukan ng tatay na to!)

Joshua: Okay. I will tell.

Me: Noooo! Josh, you tell them you are not a baboy, you are Joshua ok!

(I showed him a picture of a pig and we looked in the mirror.)

Me: Look at the picture then look at yourself, do you look like the one in the picture?

Joshua: NO!

Me: That means you are not a pig. You are a Boy!

Joshua: OK mama, I will tell my classmates

Then I called the teacher so the other kids will stop calling him baboy. Mula nung malaman nya na yung pig pala eh baboy, nagagalit na sya pag tinutukso sya. Unlike dati na ngingiti lang sya.

Sa ngayon overweight pa rin si Josh but I am starting to work on his diet. Less rice, more on vegetables and fruits, from whole milk to low fat, no softdrinks., no chips, less chocolates (hirap pang pigilan sa chocolates, lalo pag galing Germany at Luxembourg….hahaha!)

Pero sabi ni KD okay lang na sa kanya mapupunta mga papadala ninyong chocolates hehehe.
